Next-generation design and styling2024 Yamaha XSR900 Heritage White

Quality and attention to detail is obvious from every angle, and it is clear that no corners have been cut and no compromises were made by designers in their mission to build this next generation Sport Heritage model. For a qualitative, yet race inspired image, the cockpit is enhanced with a machined top triple clamp, drilled fork caps and an aluminum XSR logo. Other features include an embossed aluminum rear underplate, forged foot controls, black brake reservoirs and bar end mirrors showing that this is a motorcycle that is ready to make an impression – and not just with the rider

889 cc CP3 engine2024 Yamaha XSR900 Heritage White

The 889 cc liquid-cooled 3-cylinder produces high-torque out of a lightweight package to produce a powerful yet playful MT that emits a beautiful sound to enhance the feeling of acceleration thanks to its tuned intake and exhaust. The XSR900’s fuel injection system increases efficiency, while optimized gear ratios and its assist-and-slipper clutch match the higher output of the EU5-compliant engine.

LIGHTWEIGHT ALUMINUM DIE-CAST FRAME2024 Yamaha XSR900 Heritage White

The compact CF die-cast aluminum frame design is a modern take on the Deltabox layout. A higher level of chassis stiffness improves rider feedback and stability while increasing the dynamic riding window. Optimized swingarm pivot structure, light and slim chassis, and a more laidback feel make the XSR900 a welcome day-to-day partner.

ENGINE

2022 Updates:

New CP3 Engine

  • The newly developed 889 cc liquid-cooled 3-cylinder engine is lighter, quicker and more powerful, with more torque at lower rpm.
  • Significantly increased torque by 6% to 68.5 ft.lb.
  • Features a 3 mm longer stroke to give an extra 43cc
  • Increased horsepower by 3.95 HP up to 117 HP

New Intake and Exhaust

  • A new intake and exhaust produce a beautiful sound that enhances the feeling of acceleration.
  • New exhaust features unequal length headers and dual-sided outlets, and by experimenting with muffler chamber size, the ideal sound was achieved.

New Fuel Injectors

  • New fuel injectors give increased efficiency.

Improved Transmission and Clutch

  • Optimized gear ratios and a refined assist-and-slipper clutch match the higher output of the EU5-compliant engine.

CHASSIS / SUSPENSION

Lightweight CF Aluminium Die-cast Frame

  • Compact CF die-cast aluminium frame design—a modern take on the Deltabox layout—features a higher level of chassis stiffness for improved rider feedback, stability and an increased dynamic riding window.
  • Longitudinal, lateral and torsional rigidity are all optimized, resulting in better straight-line stability together without affecting agility.

Adjustable Suspension

  • A fully adjustable 41 mm front fork uses optimized settings that match the character of the compact new high-rigidity frame and reduce the tendency to pitch, giving a smoother and more controlled ride.

DETAILS

Next-generation design and styling

  • Technologically and aesthetically inspired by the 1980s – a glorious and significant period in Yamaha’s history – the XSR900 boasts rich heritage styling while integrating modern performance features.

6-Axis IMU plus lean-sensitive rider aids
Developed from the YZF-R1, the compact new 6-axis IMU governs the XSR’s high-tech rider aids, including:

  • 3-mode Traction Control System (TCS)
  • Slide Control System (SCS)
  • Front-wheel Lift Control System (LIF)
  • Brake Control system (BC)

(note: TCS, SCS and LIF are lean-sensitive)

Full-colour 3.5-inch TFT display

  • The 3.5-inch full-colour TFT display features a bar-type tachometer that changes colour as rpm rises or falls. Handlebar switches enable you to easily change displays and information.

Compact, bifunctional LED headlight

  • The new single LED headlight produces a powerful beam with an excellent spread featuring soft edges while giving the XSR a truly distinctive next-generation face.

Quick Shift System (QSS)

  • The up and down Quick Shifter System enhances the sport riding experience by enabling super-fast upshifts for outstanding acceleration. The downshift function allows smoother shifting to maintain chassis stability even when cornering, to give a more controlled feel when decelerating.
